A run of the mill plot, but with an interesting premise. It's always satisfying
to see a washed-up underdog get a chance to showcase his unseen talents. In
this case, those talents are acting. Van Damme is given the opportunity to show
some emotion onscreen, outside of angry and more angry. I'm not saying the film
is brilliant, but it certainly is a breath of fresh air.
