Australia’s version of Red Dawn,
and just as ridiculous as both American versions. Writing, acting, and action
sequences are embarrassing. The buildup to the invasion was handled ok, but
they pussed out on critical details. At least the American versions identified
who was doing the invading, and why. This Australian knockoff gives their
attackers a generic Asian face, but never bothers to specify where they came
from and why they are suddenly taking over Australia, apparently without any
consequences from the international community. It’s absurd.
And that closing sequence was one of the worst
I’ve ever seen. Terrible.
