Young@Heart (2007)

Is it interesting that a group of seniors formed a chorus to sing contemporary rock and punk songs? Sure. Are they any good—is this something I would actually want to listen to? No. People are only going to their shows to see the novelty of geriatrics butchering songs from a younger generation. It’s a bit tiresome to watch a bunch of old fogies parade around thinking they are too cool for school, when in reality they are one pair of soiled pants away from not being visited in an old folks home.

It’s obvious the filmmaker is enamored with them, but that doesn’t translate into a compelling story. There were a couple of ok performances at the end, but this would have been easier to swallow as a 5 minute YouTube video.
