The Escort (2015)

A little indie with a likeable cast and some witty dialogue, even if the romance follows a familiar formula.

Oz The Great and Powerful (2013)

One of only a handful of films I’ve seen in 3D at the theater. Outside of the opening title sequence, I think I would have preferred it 2D. I find 3D very distracting and often blurry during quick camera shots. The movie itself had a nice cinematic style. Story-wise, it felt more like a Disney princess picture, if you were to substitute witches for princesses. Not a very engaging plot for me. Acting seemed subpar as well.

Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs (2009)

Creative and fun. Entertaining for kids with plenty of grown up humor for adults. Sounds simple enough, except for the dumpster full of animated duds that have bombed in dramatic fashion. Well done.

Serving Sara (2002)

Another implausible comedy with only a few laughs here and there and
not much outside of Elizabeth Hurley's amazing body to look at on
screen. Didn't even bother checking out the deleted scenes or
outtakes on the DVD.

Spider-Man (2002)

This was an opening weekend kind of movie. Went with my dad, and we had a great time. Lots of good action, a little romance, cool f/x, and great sound. Unfortunately it follows the basic superhero plot and includes unrealistic feats, even for a superhero.

Army of Darkness (1993)

One of those films with a big cult following. Not bad. Kind of a horror/comedy set in mid-evil times. Entertaining to watch.
