Room (2015)

A look into the mind of a young boy who’s life revolves around his mother and a single room. Quite fascinating. Nice performances.

Off The Map (2003)

Every now and then it's good to cleanse your movie pallet with a pure, unadulterated indie movie like this one. Where characters slowly reveal themselves, as does the story. Plot devices, false climaxes, and other tricks of the trade are nowhere to be seen.

You may feel a little nervous at the beginning, wondering if you've gotten yourself into a boring sand-trap; but that quickly passes. Instead of dwelling on the slowness of the film, you find yourself wishing it would slow down even more so you could enjoy it longer. Northfork was supposed to be like that... it so wasn't. Fine acting all around. Well made by Campbell Scott. A pleasure to watch.

The Bourne Supremacy (2004)

A good, not great, sequel by Greengrass. I definitely prefer Doug Liman, the director of the original. Some fantastic action sequences, but the story got away from him. The flow was off and the occasional jerky action sequences couldn't save it.

Death Race (2008)

Racing souped up cars to the death in hopes of receiving your freedom from prison. What warm blooded male could pass it up? All the violence, explosions, and car wrecks you can handle. Joan Allen's presence helps you take this one more seriously. Don't expect to be impressed, just entertained.

The Upside Of Anger (2005)

A quality drama full of characters that actually have interesting things to say. Plenty of funny moments and lines. A very well written script. A female driven movie that won't turn off the guys.
