300: Rise Of An Empire (2014)

Entertaining and bloody, but not bloody entertaining.

The Hunter (2011)

There is a dark and ominous tone throughout the film which keeps the audience at a distance. By the time we’ve been able to warm up to the characters, people are dead and things are wrapping up. It’s not material that will make for a fun movie night. More of a thought piece on science versus nature.

Animal Kingdom (2010)

A moody Australian crime drama that's more depressing than exciting. Terrific acting across the board. Hard to watch at times. Not sure the ending was the silver lining I was hoping for.
