The Reader (2008)

A frisky German indie for the literate crowd. Kate looks terrible in this, but she's fantastic as always. The movie was alright.

Chocolat (2000)

A delight to watch. Makes you feel good after it's over. Great performances and a cute story. Johnny Depp is at his best with Lasse H. at the directors' helm. They do good work together.

Rating: B+

The United States of Leland (2003)

A moody and well acted film. Jena Malone plays yet another girlfriend to the unstable male lead. (Much better in The Glass House) Cheadle was very good in his role. This movie won't leave you feeling happy, but it will put you in a thoughtful mood, which is a good thing sometimes.
