Identity (2003)

This movie freaked me out. I was ashamed to be covering my eyes with my own hands. They use the classic slow build up to a jump-out shot to get the scares, but they are effective. The story may be a little thin, but the acting was pretty good.

Rescue Dawn (2006)

One of the rare times a movie does justice to a  compelling true story.

Fantastic casting! The actor's commitment to their roles help sell the story without shoving it in your face. The focus was on the characters and how they coped with extremely difficult circumstances.

This is not a war movie, so don't go in expecting to see huge battle scenes. However, the film delivers plenty of heart pounding sequences through its realism and the vested interest you'll develop in the characters.

Serving Sara (2002)

Another implausible comedy with only a few laughs here and there and
not much outside of Elizabeth Hurley's amazing body to look at on
screen. Didn't even bother checking out the deleted scenes or
outtakes on the DVD.

Northfork (2003)

I expected big things from this film. The trailer was excellent. The Polish Brothers really impressed me with Twin Falls Idaho. The cast is superb. How they managed to make an incredibly bad film with all that is beyond me.

It's slow from start to finish. Strange and confusing in a bad way. There's no payoff at the end, and there certainly wasn't any payoff in the middle. This film could have been much better in the hands of someone else.
