Down To Earth (2001)

This was a pretty good remake, although the original was better. It's hard watching Chris in a PG-13 movie, cause you know he's holding back the whole time. I prefer Rated R Chris.

Some funny supporting cast members and several laugh out loud scenes, but overall it was simple entertainment.

Clerks II (2006)

I was surprised to hear Kevin say this was his favorite movie he's made so far on the DVD intro. The original was far superior and, well, original. This sequel comes off as unnecessary and tired. I'm not saying I didn't laugh. How could I not with these characters. I'm just saying it wasn't all that and a bag of Mooby fries.

Evan Almighty (2007)

Despite some forays into preposterous waters, Evan is mostly smooth sailing. The story is much more focused than the Jim Carrey original, and with the use of real animals and an actual ark on set, the film doesn't come off looking like a low budget mini series starring Jon Voight. Is this a movie miracle? No, but it does entertain; and maybe that's enough.
