Her small role in Daredevil was much better than this entire film. Terribly written and very shallow.

Kubo and the Two Strings (2016)
I really enjoyed the unique animation style mixed with origami. The story was rich with Japanese culture. Well-made and enjoyable to watch.

Planet of the Apes (2001)
One of the big disappointments of the year. There were so
many possibilities for a better plot. So many creative
ideas that they only touched on. The special effects,
sound, costumes, etc were all great, but they just
didn't use them to their best potential. Things could
have been developed so much more.
The biggest letdown was the ending. I won't give it away, but not only did it not make sense, it was extremely anti-clamatic.

Snow Falling on Cedars (1999)
Slooooooooow. The director did "Shine", so I thought this might be good, but it needed some serious editing. The movie got bogged down with too many prejudice issues, failed romances, and flashbacks.
