Booksmart (2019)

Movie high schools never resemble anything like the high school I attended. It's almost as if they are trying to replicate the pretend high schools of cinema past.

Despite a completely unrealistic portrayal of teen education, the writing is quick, crude, and smart, so I still laughed.

Long Shot (2019)

I laughed for much of the film. Smartly written and funny. Will have you rooting for the underdog and wishing that the Democrats could field a candidate with a real personality.

Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016)

This is a film that didn’t deserve a sequel.

“So why did you watch it then?”

Great question. I’m dumb.

Overall quite weak except for a few chuckles here and there—like an episode of SNL.

Easy A (2010)

Cute at times. I especially liked her parents. I think I have a secret man-crush on Stanley Tucci. I had a hard time getting past the preposterous plot though. It was as far fetched as the high school she went to. Can't they at least try to make it remotely close to what high school is really like? This was borderline sci-fi.
