I hadn’t seen this since I was a kid, but had the opportunity tonight to watch it for a second time at Robert Redford’s screening room. If you are from Utah, it’s fun to see the many recognizable areas where the movie was shot. Not my favorite of his films, but still good.

Brubaker (1980)
Robert Redford tries to reform his prison from the inside out. Some nice performances and drama. Would have like to see a few more people get their comeuppance in the end though.

The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976)
A Western revenge story courtesy of Clint Eastwood. It’s no masterpiece, but it wasn’t terrible either. Could do with a bit of editing and more competent dialogue. The violence is on par with the times when it was released, which is to say completely unrealistic. I’d say it could be improved by a remake, but then again this plotline has already been done to death in countless other films.

Homegrown (1998)
A more serious action/drama oriented pot movie, as opposed to the usual comedic fare that we usually get. (Cheech and Chong, Half Baked, etc). Billy Bob Thornton and Hank Azaria were both fun to watch. Entertaining movie.
