Solid acting in an ok film. Laura Linney was good too as the older seductress.

In Good Company (2004)

Loved it. Paul Weitz hits it out of the park again after About A Boy. Great casting. Credible actors. Witty dialogue. Good drama. Laugh out loud comedy. Emotion. The soundtrack is phenomenal.

War Machine (2017)

A movie about the pointlessness of war. If you already felt war was mostly a complete waste of time and expense, this film will preach to your choir. If you think war is a necessary evil and that the U.S. does a damn fine job at it, you’ll hate this film and believe it was made by a bunch of left wing hippies.

Personally I believe war is a means for politicians to distract the populace from their massive shortcomings, to line the pockets of everyone involved, and to secure the resources of other nations for their own.

American Ultra (2015)

I love movies like this. Average flunker turns super agent. It’s a shame the TV show Chuck couldn’t have been more like this—less cheese, more ass kicking. There’s nothing deep about American Ultra, but it was fun to watch.

Interstellar (2014)

A thought provoking science fiction film that dares to go beyond what science tells us we are capable of presuming. Some incredible twists were thrown in at the end which may have been a bit much. Solidly crafted up to that point though.

Predators (2010)

This sequel picks up around present day, but instead of the Predator coming to our planet to hunt, it has imported killer specimens onto a game preserve planet.

A rag tag team of misfits must band together in order to survive. It's action packed and fun to watch. There's even a returning character from the first film. Solid acting from Brody and others elevate this a step higher than most in this series. Certainly worth viewing if you're a fan of the original, even more so if you went out of your way to see Predator 2 and Alien Vs. Predator, like I did.

The Giant Mechanical Man (2012)

A bland romantic comedy that felt like it was trying too hard to be indie. It was neither hip nor cool. Mostly slow, boring, and uneventful. Too many overly coincidental encounters. I couldn’t get past that.

Funny scenes throughout, but the plot was a little out there. An ok escape.

Valentine’s Day (2010)

Only watched this because it was playing on my Delta flight. Stellar cast in a sub-par formula Gary Marshall film. It uses every cliché in the book. Mildly entertaining at times, like watching a Jr. High School play.

Traffic (2000)

This was an interesting portrayal of drug culture in today's world. The film had a real gritty, realistic mood to it, and the various characters slowly blend together into a complete story. The best thing about the picture was the solid cast of actors.

Take Me Home Tonight (2011)

Not terrible, but below average across the board. Writing was weak. Acting wasn’t great. Editing was poor. I made it through to the end intact, but I’m not sure the reputations of those involved did.
