Cute idea. Terrible execution. The acting was abysmal. Dialogue was stupid. Characters were boring and trite. Avoid at all costs.

A Walk Among The Tombstones (2014)
Liam Neeson being a badass again. The script is a bit dark. It might have worked better as an early Dexter episode, where he meets out vengeance to the bad guys.

The Namesake (2006)
I'm always up for a film that gives me an inside look at a culture I'm
mostly unfamiliar with. The pacing is slow--but on the upside, character development is both intimate and rich. Some very
touching scenes and a sweet story. A little more editing couldn't hurt though.

The Adventures of Tintin (2011)
Quite amazing computer animation. It looks wonderful. The hidden treasure story is ok, but starts to wear thin by the end.

Beowulf (2007)
Curiosity got the better of me on this one, that, and Angelina Jolie, who looks hot animated or otherwise. Once you get past the fact that you're watching a cartoon for adults, it's not so bad. Pretty violent in fact. More enjoyable though, is the making of featurette on the DVD. Casting Crispin Glover in the role of Grendel was genius.Rating: C-
