What a waste of good talent. The movie is very slow to arrive at nowhere in particular. I've enjoyed John Sayles movies before, but
this one is a stinker.

Silverado (1985)
It took me over 30 years to finally see this classic Western. Impressive cast. They checked all the boxes and the good guys won.

Appaloosa (2008)
Terrific opening scene and story set up. I was truly excited to see
how everything would unfold. Loved the idea of lawmen for hire coming
into town ad setting up Marshall law. Then Rene Zellicker stepped off
the train and everything went down the shitter.
Not only did she massacre the character she was playing, but she brought down every scene she was in. They literally could have hired any actress off the street to play that roll and the results would have been better. How Rene continues to get work while holding the title of worst actress in Hollywood is beyond me.

Cabin Boy (1994)
Cabin boy’s sense of humor is
campy and weird, but not without its merits. The first half is much more
entertaining than the off-the-rails second half. The laughs slowed to a crawl
by the end.

The Iron Giant (1999)
Nothing very exciting about the story or the animation. Not a lot to offer in the way of humor for adults either. Mostly disappointing.
