Robert Downey Jr.’s foray behind the camera was a manic mess. A mismatch of connected scenes.

Thanksgiving (2023)

 

The full length Thanksgiving horror film inspired by Tarantino's Grindhouse, I guess. Mostly dumb and predictable, with needless gore.

Sweet Home Alabama (2002)

A step up from Two Weeks Notice, but not a big step. Cute and funny scenes here and there, but a predictable plot and over-the-top sub characters made it wallow in the mediocre romantic comedy trough.

 Rating: C-

Enchanted (2007)

Really fun for the most part. Creative story and dialogue. Amy Adams was perfect for this role. Her over-the-top antics and singing were the best part of the film. I could have done without the unbelievable dragon at the end, but the other 90% made up for it.

Valentine’s Day (2010)

Only watched this because it was playing on my Delta flight. Stellar cast in a sub-par formula Gary Marshall film. It uses every cliché in the book. Mildly entertaining at times, like watching a Jr. High School play.
