Over Your Dead Body (2026)

 

Grim stuff. Despite a few chuckles, there’s nothing to endear the viewer to this film.

A wintry western with some unique casting. Much better than I expected from a Tubi production.

Like an teen reboot of The Game, but with a much weaker ending.

Whip It (2009)

A bit more Hollywood than I would have liked. I was hoping for something a bit grittier, but more polished than the documentary "Hell on Wheels". Still, who can resist the girlish charm of Ellen Page? I also have a soft spot (or is it a hard spot?) for cool chicks with tattoos. That made this a must-see for me.

Old School (2003)

Just as funny as people said it was. There's something that rarely happens. Same guy who made Road Trip, which I enjoyed, and you quickly recognize his brand of humor. Plus Will Ferrel is allowed to get as wild and crazy as he wants to. Great cast and plenty of funny moments. The DVD has a lot of extra features that are worth checking out too.

Sympathy For Delicious (2010)

Great concept, poor script. There were a 100 ways they could have gone with the idea of a modern day healer, and they chose to have him be a skid row DJ? Unlikeable characters in a script that made little sense.

Due Date (2010)

Nothing will ever top Todd Phillips best road trip movie: "Go". Due Date is a more straightforward comedy than that. One only has to turn a camera on Galifianakis to make an audience laugh. Mix in a little dead pan Downey Jr., and you have yourself a decent film before the script has even been written. Plenty of laughs despite the simple plot.

The Switch (2010)

A very formulaic romantic comedy with a turkey baster twist. Some funny moments and a cute kid playing the scientifically made son. Happy to see Goldblum on screen again. Where’s he been?
