Chaos Walking (2020)

The Noise is rather annoying, but you get used to it. Feels like everyone on that planet has autism from the thoughts they are projecting. It's a shame the hero kid didn’t get his big smooch at the end. Lost opportunity there.

Man Of Steel (2013)

This movie should be called Total Destruction, because it destroys nearly everything on screen. Superman cries out in anguish over killing the main bad guy, not giving a thought to the thousands of people he accidentally snuffed out while fighting said bad guy. So yeah, it’s your typical superhero movie. They did a good job on the backstory though.

Open Range (2003)

Costner put a lot of work into all aspects of the film, and it shows. Acting was excellent. Story was simple, in an "Unforgiven" kind of way, but still gripping. Fantastic shootout. Solid movie.

The Claim (2000)

Solid cast; especially Wes Bentley and Sarah Polley. The story was a good one. The film is set in the old west, surrounding a mining town, the railroad, and gold. Everything looked authentic and well executed.

Survival of the Dead (2009)

Sort of a sequel to Diary of the Dead, but much better. Competent plot and direction. I liked the dueling family clans on the island sub plot. A worthwhile zombie rental.

The Red Violin (Le Violon Rouge) (1998)

An epic drama that follows the life of a violin from its creation to the present day. The movie spans several continents and switches from Italian to French to German to English to Chinese... it's quite the project. Historically interesting and worth checking out.
