Riding In Cars With Boys (2001)

A true drama. Not terribly exciting or uplifting, but still a good story. Drew has never looked so bad.

Spun (2002)

I liked the music video montages better than I liked the movie. Great soundtrack. As with most drug related movies, it failed to maintain a cohesive plot. I didn't connect with any of the characters.

Summer Catch (2001)

Predictable, bad dialogue, and pretty much nothing that really drew me into the movie. Beyond a few well timed jokes, the supporting cast didn't do much to help.

8 Mile (2002)

Yeah, I tuned into the Eminem Show along with $58 Million worth of others opening weekend. How could I turn my back on Curtis Hanson who directed L.A. Confidential and Wonder Boys? The movie was pretty good. Didn't try and be more than it was, or turn Eminem into some glorified pop star overnight like that steaming pile of Mariah Carey Glitter.

Sidewalks of New York (2001)

A small Edward Burns picture about relationships, as usual. I enjoyed it - some fun characters and an outstanding performance by Stanly Tucci.
