Just Like Heaven (2005)

You'll need to suspend reality and give in to your metaphysical side in order to enjoy this film, but if you can, then it's a light-hearted romantic comedy with several funny performances.

Roger Dodger (2002)

A ladies man uncle takes his 16 year old nephew under his wing for a night in New York with the intent of teaching him the ways of bedding a lady. Lots of funny, content heavy dialogue back and forth. There are some underlying themese at play, and although it's not a perfect film, it did impress me.

Requiem For A Dream (2000)

Screw D.A.R.E.
Screw "Say no to Drugs"
Screw "This is your brain on drugs"
Round up all the elementary school kids. Sit their asses down in the auditorium, and play this movie on a big screen. By the time the credits roll, every kid in the place will have tears streaming down their little faces in terror, and they will NEVER do drugs.

Darren Aronofsky, the brilliant director of the movie "Pi" , delves into full color film-making with one hell of a ride down junkie lane. He has such a talent for creating dramatic images on screen. So many techniques are used, which when put together, form his unique style. The acting was fantastic, and Oscars should be handed out all around. Is it a fun movie to watch? Kind of. Is it worth watching? YES! An absolutely brilliant film.

Blue Valentine (2010)

The story of unhappiness. Time seems to stand still during uncomfortable scenes. Maybe that’s what they were going for. I loved the child molester joke she told on the bus though. It was a funny oasis in an otherwise serious and depressing wasteland of a film.
