They should have cut a few minor characters to allow for depth from the main ones. A serviceable epic actioner.

An enjoyable family film. Depp and Winslett are great.

New York, I Love You (2008)

More cohesive than expected with so many different writers, directors, and actors involved. Some stories are much better than others. I felt a little embarrassed when I learned that one of the shorts I liked best was the one from Brett Ratner. What can I say? I’m a sucker for hot crippled chicks.

Red Riding Hood (2011)

The first 30-40 minutes were pretty bad all around. The writing felt trite and the delivery wasn’t much better. The rest of the film was helped by the increased action. I thought they did a decent job of keeping the viewer guessing about who the wolf was. Still, you can probably skip this one.
