Frankenstein (2025)

 

Always a treat to see a Guillermo Del Toro vision come to life on screen. His specialty is taking the grotesque and making it beautiful. I can see why he was drawn to this story. I kept thinking about King Kong, and the similarities of the two narratives. It’s a tragic tale with brief bouts of happiness. Intriguing, but sad.
