True story: I went to go see this in a theater when it came out, and the theater had spliced the reels out of order so that it went 1,3,2,4... instead of 1,2,3,4...
The film was so unengaging that it took me until halfway through the misplaced reel 2 to figure out anything was wrong. When I brought it up to the theater, they stopped the film and refunded everyone's money since they would need to resplice the reels to show it again. Funny thing is that the movie had been running for two days already by that point and no other patron had complained yet, since I guess everyone just figured that the reel jump was as disjointed and confused as the rest of the movie was.

Great story! Thanks for posting it here. I was driving with Derek when it popped up and I read it out loud to him. We both had a nice laugh.
